What is the Subclass 191 Visa?
The Subclass 191 is the permanent residence pathway for holders of the 491 and 494 provisional visas. Applications have been open since 16 November 2022.
Who Can Apply?

Requirements
- Held 491 or 494 for at least 3 years

- Pass health and character checks
Income Requirement
- Must be from work in a designated regional area
- Based on ATO tax records
- Any occupation qualifies (not restricted to nominated occupation)
- Self-employment income counts
- Multiple employers allowed
